Good morning. I've had some really productive days and finished two of my quilts. My UFO pile is starting to shrink. These just needed the binding put on.
This is my log cabin quilt I started 12-13 years ago and never knew how to finish it. I still love the colors - browns, rusts and golds. It's still the colors I decorate with today. And it's done just in time for fall. I now live in a cabin in the woods so it just fits.
This one was from a Bonnie Hunter class sponsored by my quilt guild. I don't usually use such bright colors, but it's a scrap quilt and I had leftovers from making the grandchildren's quilts. Plus I had a bunch of strips from "strip poker" night at the guild. It's a pineapple blossom pattern. I love it. I love scrap quilts. Bonnie Hunter has a great web site - quiltville.com - that has numerous scrap quilts with lots of pictures and instructions. I've picked out two more of her pattern to make. Or at least I placed them on my wish list for someday. There's just so much I want to do. Working full-time sure puts a damper into my sewing plans. Today my plan is to finish putting borders on my star quilt and hook.
Isn't this fella really cute. I've been avoiding snow (that's part of the reason for moving to Georgia), but he could sit on my shelf. Follow the above link to enter into her giveaway.
