I really like Maggie Bonanomi's style. I have both her books. And I look at them and tell myself, "I like that and that and that and I need to make that and this and that". So today I'm getting busy. I didn't have black wool for the background, so I have to dye it. It won't come out black black. But it should be dark enough. I'm using a nice blanket weight plaid and then will use whatever I have to make the basket and flowers. I have an opening in the interior of my cabin that I'm trying to cover, so I'll be making the center plus one row of triangles (I think). She has so many other projects I'm just crazy excited to get going.
I'm also I soap maker. This batch is a yummy cranberry-fig. It smells so good, and the lather is my best yet. I usually make a lemon based soap with calendula petals, but decided to try something different. I used some different oils, and colorant (for the first and maybe last time). I'll have to wait and see. The bubbles are light pink, but doesn't seem to stain my washcloth or shower.
I'm still looking for someone to hook with if anyone knows any hookers in the middle Georgia area, please put them in contact with me.
Enjoy the night, Sue
